We gathered in the YFAC theatre last Tuesday for an amazing capstone showcase featuring the work of media arts seniors Ben Stelter and Colin Neville. It was thrilling to see their work displayed on the big screen, and we enjoyed a wonderful Q&A afterwards led by media arts senior Joey Pasbrig.
Over the past two years, Ben has contributed to the media efforts of several athletic teams at BLC and MSU. He showed some of his work in still photography, graphic design, and commercial video, as well as a trailer for an upcoming documentary on a player from the MSU basketball team. Ben has mastered an incredible variety of skills and is a fantastic storyteller to boot.
Colin Neville created a short thriller, Vessel, that follows Jake as he attempts to uncover the mystery of his friend who has been vanished for some time. The film is quite sophisticated—it’s wonderfully directed, beautifully shot, and we’re all hoping it will have a nice fest run.
Ben and Colin are two of the most hard-working and self-motivated students we have ever had in the program, and we are immensely proud of both their work and what they had to say. You should absolutely watch this showcase!
