On Saturday, October 6, Bethany Lutheran College named the Honsey Hall studio wing in honor of Professor Emeritus Thomas Kuster—the “Thomas A. Kuster Media Center.” Tom first came to Bethany in the fall of 1962 at which time he taught both Latin and English classes while he was a seminary student. When he returned to BLC in 1991, he became the first faculty member to hold a named chair—the Eleanor Wilson Endowed Chair for Speech and Communication. Tom’s vision allowed our program at Bethany to flourish, and we are all glad to see his name above the door! The signage was unveiled during the naming ceremony, which occurred during fall festival. A recording of the ceremony is below, Tom’s comments start at about 24 minutes into the video.
